Remote Desktop Support
Note: With Remote Desktop Support from Bates Weston, we can access your computer from ours, effectively taking control of it, so make sure that you close down any documents you do not wish us to view.
When we have connected to your computer we are accessing the computer as though we are sat in front of it but you will see everything we are doing.
The software that we use is called AnyDesk. You will need to click on the link below and download a small program which you then need to run. The program will generate an access code which we will ask for. Once we initiate the connection it will prompt you to accept the connection. Only when you have consented to the connection will we be able to access your computer.
You can decline this connection or disconnect us at any point. If you would like us to resolve your issue but do not want to use the Remote Desktop Support service we may need to visit your site or ask you to bring your computer in.
We don't save any data regarding the connection apart from the code which is generated to connect, if we need to transfer a file off your computer for further investigation we will advise and inform you of this action and how long we will be retaining it.
When we have disconnected and you close down the program, it will ask you about installing it. We recommend that you dont install it. The prompt is there to make it easier for repeat connections and to remove the steps of having to download the software again. It is better and more secure from your point of view if you dont install it and only run it when we are wanting to connect.
