We are looking to recruit a General Office Assistant who can work efficiently, as part of a team, as well as independently, to provide administration and support to the office team.  

Hours – Full time or part time, Monday to Friday. 

Salary – £17,300 – £18,000 

Bates Weston is a successful and progressive independent firm of Chartered Accountants, offering a first class service to clients. We are an 80 strong team based in The Mills, in Canal Street, Derby and we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised individual to join our office administration team. This is a full time or part time permanent position. The role is to provide administrative support to the General Office Team and reports to the Practice Manager 

 Key duties include: 

  • Supporting the General Office team
  • Covering Reception as required
  • Preparation of meeting rooms, to include refreshments as required
  • Maintain data on the in-house IT systems
  • Deal with requests from all areas of the office, distributing post, stationery etc
  • Deliveries and banking duties
  • Various other relevant office duties as required

Our requirements are as follows: 

  • Experience within a professional office environment
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Clean current driving licence
  • Candidates must have a ‘can do’ and positive approach to all work and have a flexible attitude to cope with a variety of duties
  • The successful candidate will be an excellent organiser and communicator with strong time management and interpersonal skills
