About Craig
With over 20 years experience of high level tax planning, Craig specialises in providing commercially driven tax advice to privately owned companies and high net worth families. Advising across the range of tax matters relevant to owner managed businesses, Craig particularly enjoys advising on complex reorganisations and reconstructions.
He has a down to earth, approachable manner and is adept at clarifying a client’s concerns, applying a wealth of tax knowledge, and then recommending and communicating practical solutions.
Craig is regularly asked to address his fellow tax professionals at Chartered Institute of Taxation events and frequently contributes to tax publications, updating and co-authoring Tolley’s Tax Planning for Owner Managed Businesses 2020-21.

Qualifications and sector experience
Craig set up Bates Weston Tax Advisory Limited in 2016 having previously been National Head of Corporate Tax at RSM and prior to that executive director at EY. Craig is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
